PrintDriver for NT and WordPerfect 8.0

If you are experiencing problems converting a WordPerfect 8.0 document, it could be that the culprit is a program that gets installed when WordPerfect 8.0 is installed: Corel's Desktop Application Director (DAD).

"About Desktop Application Director (DAD)

Use the Desktop Applications Director (DAD) to place program icons in the notification area of the Windows taskbar. Then, when you want to run a program, simply click the program icon on the taskbar. If you want to add or remove items from the taskbar, right-click any of the DAD icons, then click Properties. You can also right-click an icon, then click any of the programs you currently have displayed to run that program.

When running NT this program gets started in the background. You can see the icon for it (four color arrows) on the taskbar. Turn this program off to convert WrodPerfect programs.
